About Me
Bio
Born and raised Pennsylvania based artist, James Nelson has been an artist since he could remember. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, "...in the Boonies," as his family would say, James started his journey like most; sketching every day, taking inspiration from the world around him.

Early on in his career, James often sketched portraits for friends and family. But then he discovered the world of prop making. Having always been a huge fan of cinema and animation, he set his sights on bringing props from animated and fictional properties to life!
Artist Statement
As Maker of None, I hope to summarize what it is that I love to do as an artist. I relish the idea of forever being stuck in one field of art. I have always been a handy man, from growing up on a farm, and was always told that I was a jack of all trades. After learning the full quote, "Jack of all trades, master of none, but better than the master of one," I became obsessed with it as nothing has every described my personality and tendecies better! So I combined master of none with maker, the prop world a maker is a DIY tinkerer, someone who learns many skills to build things for themselves.
I am currently pursing graphic design, prop design, costume design, and 3D design. I believe I can learn more and pick up new skills to enrich my life and make my work more fun.
